Miss Stina!
Hi! I'm Miss Stina and for as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a teacher.
I come from a long line of proud residents in Morenci, AZ, as I am the sixth generation of my family to call this town home. Currently, I am in my second year of pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education at Grand Canyon University (Go Lopes!). My academic journey is driven by a deep passion for nurturing young minds.
In my free time, my family and I enjoy cozy movie nights, swimming together during the sunny days, and embarking on adventurous camping trips where we explore the beauty of nature. I find immense joy in teaching and strive to inspire children to think creatively and develop their independence as learners. I’m thrilled to be on this educational path and look forward to the impact I will make in the lives of my future students!

We want to get to know your family, so please invite your whole family to attend our free fun family events all year long: 4th of July Parade, Meet ‘n Greet, Fall Carnival, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Christmas Party, and Spring Fever Fun Run. You are always welcome to volunteer in our classroom and/or at any of our events.

Our small classes of just 15 children allows your child to be comfortable and grow valuable friendships with the other preschoolers and teacher's. Because conflict-resolution skills are super vital to learn at this age, we help your child work through their problems with other children. Pretty soon they’re using the same strategies and words we’ve taught them, all by themselves!

Your child will receive individualized instruction through our thorough assessments and curriculum. Teaching children is a huge responsibility, and we take that responsibility seriously! Not only are we state licensed and CPR/1st Aid Certified, but our distinct policies and procedures regarding health and safety help to keep your child in a safe, clean environment. We’re constantly cleaning, washing hands, and monitoring all activities to prevent any accidents.

We’re excited to enhance our learning with fun virtual field trips each year! We get to explore wonderful places like the zoo, where we see amazing animals up close, and visit an apple orchard to discover how apples grow. Our adventures also include trips to the police station, where we chat about staying safe, and the fire station, where we learn all about the brave work firefighters do.
On top of all that, we love celebrating special occasions together with fun parties throughout the year! We kick things off with a spooky Halloween bash, share what we’re thankful for during Thanksgiving, and enjoy festive Christmas cheer. There’s also a lot of love during Valentine’s Day crafts, excitement in the air for St. Patrick’s Day games, joy during Easter egg hunts, and, of course, the chance to celebrate each child’s birthday and make them feel extra special!

Get ready for some fun! Each year, your child will be excited to sport a new t-shirt on Spirit Days, showing off their school pride in style. When should I call to register my child?
It’s never too early to call, so call as soon as you even think about registering, because our classes fill up ridiculously fast!
When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?
We have a 10-month school year (Aug.-May) and a 1-month summer camp (June). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
Preschool classes are for children who are ages 3-5 (and "independent almost-3-year-olds") by Sep. 1st. Summer camp is for children who are ages 3-8 by June 1st.
Does my child have to be potty trained?
Yes. If you have any questions about whether or not your child is ready, feel free to give us a call. We even have a “How To Potty Train” your child handout we can give you. It’s helped many preschool moms quickly potty train their kids. We’re here to help!
What is your teaching philosophy?
We follow a “whole child” philosophy where we work with you to improve your child’s Social, Emotional, Cognitive, Language, and Physical skills. Our curriculum is based on the NAEYC guidelines and features a balance of teacher-directed and child-initiated hands-on activities to accomplish these goals. We also incorporate Fundamentals Preschool Curriculum. Your child will learn to socialize, make friends, develop social and emotional skills, and be more than ready for Kindergarten!
Are there additional fees during the year?
No. Your registration fee covers all your child’s supplies and reserves a spot in our program. Your child won’t pay anything to attend our field trips and activities. And your family can come for free too! Your child will also receive at no extra cost: a preschool shirt to wear on Spirit Day and a graduation portfolio!
What if my child has food restrictions?
During our class, we incorporate a designated snack time to ensure that students can recharge and refocus. We kindly ask that you pack a snack for your child that they enjoy, as we believe personal preference encourages healthier eating habits. While we will have a selection of alternative snacks available for those who may need them, we want to emphasize the importance of food allergies. Please inform us of any allergies your child has so we can take appropriate precautions and ensure the safety of all students. Thank you for your cooperation!

Our small class size ensures your child receives plenty of one-on-one attention, with only 15 students per class.
